Well...
when I was in Israel with my family the whole week we kept asking when we would
talk more about the life of Jesus and his events, and our tour guide always
said "Friday!" But this week was definitely a week of Fridays haha...
I finally got to the part in the Book of Mormon in Spanish when Jesus comes to
the Americas, and it made my whole week.
And we
ate sliced bread one day for lunch, that was amazing.
Other
than that things are going well. A little more info about my new area...
We have a
family that the elders left us that have a date to get baptized in Julio, so we
are working towards that. We had a noche de hogar with the bishop and then
played Uno and they were just amazed at how fun that game is.... guess you take
it for granted when you play it every Sunday growing up haha.
Besides
that it has been COLD here. Wore a scarf for the first time in my mission.
Pretty much all the roads are dirt and there are always kids playing soccer at
night. LOVE IT. Our ward is HUGE. Well, bigger than any I have known. It was
awesome to finally go to church and get to know more members, they are amazing.
We have had a ton of help and I’m super excited to keep working with
them.
Also we
have another investigator named Jampier. He is 12 years old and lives with his
grandma who is a member, he has to read all of the Book of Mormon before he can
get baptized, but he is doing so well! I love teaching him and seeing the
desire he has to learn and be committed to the gospel. Hopefully this month we
will be able to help him take that step.
I
honestly have just grown so much more to love my Savior this week, to feel of
His teachings and see the way he has molded my life. Even though sometimes its
hard to be rejected by people here, I will never get tired of testifying of Him
and the miracles He is ready to give us everyday.
Love you all!
